Alexandra

Heather SmallEven though she was voted out at the early stages of the X Factor, the public will soon hear more of 17-year-old soulstress Alexandra.

Asked if she thought her early failure would prevent future success, she replied: "Lemar is a good example of that. He didn’t win but where is the winner now? I don’t know if I would be bigger than the person who does win, but we will see."

If all else fails, she’s even willing to go back on the show next year.

"If I’m nowhere next year, I would go back on the show," she said. "But it takes a lot to go on that show."

Since leaving the programme, the recent secondary school leaver has performed at popular London club 10 Rooms and in December 2005, alongside Four Kornerz, Ms Dynamite, Joss Stone and Lemar for the Royal Albert Hall event. The London show also featured the record breaking feat where over 291,000 children were linked live across the UK to sing "Lean On Me" for the world's biggest simultaneous sing-along ever.
