Alexander Grove

Alexander GroveTENOR Alexander Grove is one of the most versatile and foremost up and coming performers of his generation. He is experienced in, and equally at home on the operatic, operetta, oratorio, recital and musical theatre stages as well as television, radio, recording and film. Not stopping there, his work also includes education work being highly experienced in working with children in workshop environments. Based in Manchester and trained at the highest musical level for the last 20 years at some of the countries leading institutions, Alexander works internationally with the world's leading orchestras and conductors and is fortunate to be among the few young performers versatile enough to work in and perform a wide variety of styles to the highest standard, from madrigals to Tippett or character roles to romantic leads.

Alexander is based in Manchester and has been singing, acting and dancing from the age of 6. He began in a choir At Terra Nova School, Cheshire when he moved to London to become a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral.   As a chorister he sang an average of 3 hours a day in the Cathedral and by the age of 10 being a consummate professional, was fortunate enough to travel the world performing for royalty and presidents while performing on many CD's, radio and television programmes. 

Alexander GroveAt the age of 18, Alexander studied as an undergraduate and postgraduate at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester studying with Colin Iveson and now studies in Switzerland with Nicolai Gedda and Sweden with Sten Sjöstedt. The bulk of his work as a soloist involves performing operatic, operetta and musicals roles both in the UK and abroad. His work so far has taken him on tours of Brazil, America, France, Spain, Holland and Japan. In his spare time, he also manages to fit in recitals, corporate and gala events either as a soloist or with Tenori (The 3 Tenors) and education workshops.
